Funderburg Scholars works with students who attend the after school program at the UU Urban Ministry in Roxbury. Once they graduate from high school, we provide the college students with a laptop, their college textbooks, and significant tuition assistance. These young people, often the first to attend college in their families, are willing to work really hard, but with the increased cost of higher education and extremely limited financial aid, there is not enough money to help them through school.
